CANINE Massage Therapy
Hands-On Therapy for Working & Sport Dogs, Seniors & Puppies
DOGS DON’T FAKE IT
— they just find ways to cope. Whether you’re running an elite agility course or walking around the block, your dog’s ability to move comfortably and efficiently matters. I am a K-9 Myo-Manipulative Functional Therapist, long-time Australian Cattle Dog owner, breeder, and multi-sport dog competitor. I understand what it takes to keep your dog sound, happy, and performing well for years to come.
Understanding. Experience. Trust.
The connection that drives compassionate care for performance and companion dogs alike.
Why Canine Massage Matters
Dogs are masters of compensation. They don’t always show pain the way humans do — especially high-drive, stoic breeds like heelers, border collies, or retrievers who live their lives at 150%.
You might notice:
- Hesitation on a certain obstacle
- Slower times in sport
- Discomfort with grooming, jumping, or stairs
- Reluctance to lie down or get up
- Uneven gait or poor posture
- Unexplained behaviour changes
Massage therapy helps uncover the why, supports recovery, and restores comfort.
Why Work with Me?
Because I get it — from every angle.
I’m not just a certified therapist. I’m also:
- A breeder of Australian Cattle Dogs
- A competitor in Conformation, Herding, Obedience, Rally, Scent Detection, Trick Dog & Barn Hunt
- A dog trainer who knows how structure affects performance
- A handler who’s invested in longevity and athletic potential
- A human therapist with 24+ years of integrative orthopaedic medical massage and myofascial expertise
I know what it costs — financially and emotionally — to train and campaign a dog. You’ve invested the time, the effort, and the heart. You deserve to protect that investment.

WHAT I DO
With 24+ years of clinical experience in human integrative orthopaedic medical massage therapy, I bring advanced hands-on techniques, assessment skills, and clinical reasoning to every canine client. Unlike most canine bodyworkers, my approach is informed by deep interdisciplinary knowledge — allowing me to identify issues quickly and achieve swift, lasting results.
And best of all — dogs tell you when it’s working. They stretch. They move better. They wag. They smile.

DOGS I WORK WITH

Breeder Support of Neonatal Puppies
Support your litters with:
- Recovery from breech or stuck births
- Latching and weight gain issues
- Addressing subtle asymmetries or restlessness
- Preventing behavioural mislabeling (e.g., “shy” pups who are actually sore)
Sessions are brief (~5 min per pup) and are often done in-home with respect for dam and litter harmony.

Senior Dogs
Massage helps aging dogs:
- Rise from lying more easily
- Navigate stairs with more confidence
- Regain tail wagging, smoother gait, and more relaxed posture
- Experience more comfort — and visibly brighter moods

Sport & Working Dogs
From herding arenas to agility tunnels, performance dogs benefit tremendously from massage therapy:
- Agility, Rally, Flyball, Herding, Obedience
- Dogs with unexplained resistance to movements or specific equipment
- Dogs recovering from livestock wrecks, near-falls, or repetitive strain
- Multi-day competition dogs needing active recovery between rounds
- Dogs needing pre-surgical or post-surgical care

Post-Surgical Dogs
Support recovery and prevent setbacks with therapy that:
- Addresses compensatory strain from bracing or cones
- Soothes soreness from crate or x-pen rest
- Reduces scarring, stiffness, and DOMS
- Helps guide return to normal movement
Your Role as the Owner
- Provide video footage (if applicable)
- Train calm positioning (e.g., settle/lie down)
- Be present, calm, and engaged
- Offer reinforcement and support
- Follow any at-home guidance as needed
You’re your dog’s biggest advocate. I’m here to help you help them feel their best.
HOW YOU BECOME A CLIENT
My caseload is intentionally limited to ensure quality outcomes and lasting results. There may be a wait list for New Canine Patient Cases however it is usually short as dogs generally resolve much more swiftly than humans. Breeder/Litter Support is prioritized as time is of the essence.
