Thoughtful Assessment.

Purposeful Treatment.

Results That Matter.

At the heart of my practice is a belief that no person is just a diagnosis or a single joint. I approach every client with curiosity, clinical reasoning, and the understanding that your body’s story is layered and interconnected.

A Deeper Intake Process

Your first visit begins with a comprehensive 45–60 minute intake, where I review your detailed history form and discuss your symptoms, surgeries, lifestyle, and prior treatments — even those that may seem unrelated. I look at your file as a whole to draw connections between past injuries or events and the challenges you face today — links that are often missed because traditional healthcare treats us as isolated body parts. When a knee hurts, we see a knee specialist — but I also consider how the hip above it, the opposite shoulder, and the entire kinetic chain influence recovery.

This conversation often reveals patterns and cross-body connections that explain why pain persists or function is limited. Many patients find this discussion eye-opening, as it highlights contributing factors they had never considered. During this process, I may recommend additional professionals or services to help you achieve true balance and whole-body wellness — not just a temporary fix for the area that hurts.

Assessment-Driven, Not Assumption-Based

Using orthopaedic testing, postural analysis, and functional movement screening, I assess:

  • Fascial restrictions
  • Kinetic chain imbalances
  • Gait and joint function
  • Range of motion and strength limitations

If something unexpected shows up, I don’t ignore it — I consider its clinical significance and ask why. These tests help me form hypotheses and determine whether it’s safe and appropriate to treat you or if additional medical input (like imaging or specialist referral) is warranted.

Collaboration and Clarity

I often review previous radiology reports or rehab plans with clients, ask detailed questions about your response to other treatments, and refer out when necessary. Whether it’s suggesting a trusted acupuncturist, clarifying radiology reports, or correcting a gym exercise, my role is to guide you toward the most effective path — even if that path is outside my scope of hands-on care.

Customized, Comfortable Treatment

If we agree on a plan, we begin hands-on treatment then and there — typically 60 minutes or sometimes a bit longer for first sessions. I always prioritize:

  • Pain tolerance and comfort
  • Consent-based care
  • Clear communication boundaries

This is not a spa-style massage — it’s targeted, therapeutic work rooted in myofascial release and years of training and experience. That said, I don’t believe in pushing people into pain. If I can get results with babies, seniors, and dogs, I can do the same for you — with care, respect, and collaboration — which is why we establish clear communication around what you’re experiencing up front.

DOLPHIN NEUROSTIM MPS

This clinical before-and-after photo shows the impact of scar release using Dolphin Neurostim Microcurrent Point Stimulation (MPS) Therapy.

Dolphin Neurostim uses gentle, low-frequency DC microcurrent to stimulate acupuncture and trigger points while directly targeting scar tissue and fascial adhesions. Scars and fascial restrictions often act like “roadblocks” in the body, creating abnormal tension, poor circulation, and nerve interference that contribute to chronic pain, stiffness, and limited mobility. By releasing these restrictions, MPS helps restore proper nerve communication, improve blood flow, and rebalance the musculoskeletal system.

For patients, this means faster recovery, reduced pain, and longer-lasting results than massage therapy alone. It is especially effective in:

  • Softening and remodeling scar tissue after surgery or injury

  • Managing chronic pain conditions such as back pain, nerve entrapments, or repetitive strain

  • Improving joint mobility and muscle function

  • Supporting post-surgical rehabilitation and overall healing

  • Assisting with concussion recovery by calming the nervous system, improving circulation, and reducing lingering post-concussive symptoms such as headaches, dizziness, or neck tension

In my practice, Dolphin Neurostim is integrated into orthopaedic medical massage treatments to take healing to the next level—helping patients move beyond temporary relief and toward lasting recovery. I also use MPS Therapy in my canine practice, where dogs benefit from the same pain-relieving, scar-softening, and mobility-restoring effects.

Treatment Frequency & Progression

Your treatment frequency is guided by your condition, history, and recovery goals. In most cases, sessions are scheduled every 4–7 days during the initial phase to actively address problem areas and achieve faster results. Closer spacing between treatments allows progress to build on itself — each session supports the last — which motivates patients to complete their prescribed home exercises because they can see and feel the improvements. This consistent, momentum-driven approach leads to quicker resolution, reduced pain, and earlier discharge so you can return to daily life with confidence.

Home Care That Fits Your Life

Before you leave, I’ll often suggest one or two simple, effective “NET” exercises (No Extra Time) to start. These can be woven into your daily routine without becoming a burden. When clients see results from doing just a little, they’re more likely to stay consistent — and that consistency drives real progress. As we progress and you see results, we will build on these exercises just a few at a time.

Optional Recovery Tools

I also offer two complementary optional tools at no charge with each session and every session (well, except the canines):

  • FAR INFRARED SAUNA: For relaxation, detoxification, and recovery;  Towels, water and streaming services like Prime, CRAVE, Paramount+ and Spotify are provided; (up to 45 minutes)
  • VIBRATION PLATFORM: To enhance circulation and muscle activation (10 minutes)

These are entirely optional, but many clients find them beneficial additions to their care.

The Outcome

This is not just about temporary relief — it’s about helping your body move better, feel stronger, and adapt more efficiently over time. You won’t be “greased up like a channel swimmer.” You’ll receive focused, clinically relevant care with the goal of long-term resolution — and a practitioner who’s as invested in your progress as you are.

Healing is a collaboration. I bring the skill and insight — you bring your story, your body, and your willingness to participate. That’s where the magic happens.

Reaching the finish line

Regardless of which specialty brings you through my door, the shared goal is resolution. Once we’ve met the benchmarks outlined in your treatment plan, we’ll discuss discharge — or transition you back to your regular care providers if ongoing maintenance is appropriate. My case load is focused on outcome-based care, so your active engagement matters. For more on expectations and case selection, please see the Specialties Overview page.
